Melville, New York 11747 Mobile:
Sample of a restoration project.
Sometimes a project calls
for repair rather than being a brand new one.
We can work around your existing landscaping feature to fix any areas
that may be damaged
to make them look brand new and in this case below safer to walk on.

These images show the
pre-restored state of these patio steps. Damage includes wood rot,
missing railroad ties, and major settling of the stones. The top step
was also not the same height as the rest. The steps over the years have
become a tripping hazard and needed to be replaced. The existing wall on
the left was stable and did not need replacing.
The original mortar is
chipped away and the stones are carefully removed. Any stone that is not
damaged in removal will be reused to save on waste products. The
original railroad ties are removed and discarded. The final result of
this step is the exposure of the original base which is ready to accept
the new materials.
The new railroad tie
structural frame is built to accommodate the new stone and mortar.
The new stone is arranged in
a decorative pattern atop a layer of base material.
stones are grouted with mortar and then a sponge wash is applied
to wash away the excess and clean the stone
The finished restored steps that can now be enjoyed for
decades to come!
